I’m a Charleston native but live out of state now. Barney was the absolute best. His boat was amazing. The weather was perfect. He picked us up in Shem Creek and road us up and down the Peninsula. A retired navy vet, he was friendly, knew his Charleston history, and I felt like I had known him for years. Will for sure be using him every time I make a trip home to the Holy City.

Captain Barney gave us a very through tour of Charleston Harbor and going up Ashley River, all the way to Charles Towne Landing. We also spent an hour on Morris Island, hunting for shark teeth. We loved seeing all of our favorite Charleston landmarks from the water and listening to Captain Barney’s stories. He is a true mine of information, a great storyteller, and very knowledgeable about the area. He was also very accommodating about where we wanted to go and planned a wonderful itinerary. We already want to go back and explore some more with him!

See Charleston in a whole new way! Book a Private Boat Tour on 23' Keywest Center Console with Captain Mandi!

This was a great experience, I highly recommend. Mandi kept in communication via text leading up to the charter and was very helpful. During the charter she chatted with our group and was both informative and friendly. Same with her partner Nick who drove the both. They changed up the route when we wanted to see something else and even dropped us off closer to our hotel than the original planned drop off spot. If you’re looking for a charter definitely go with Mandi!

Dan is an amazing guide and has a beautiful new boat! This was our first tour with Dan and we will be booking again the next time we are in town without a doubt. He knew so much about Charleston, took us by several historic sites including the Battery, the Ravenel Bridge up close and many more! We saw so many things on our tour and the ride was comfortable and luxurious. The boat was stunning and super clean. It was only my husband and I on the tour which was nice and private but if your group has a few more the boat can accommodate comfortably. It was 27 feet long and has comfortable seating in the bow and in the rear of the boat as well. We left out of Shem creek marina and it was nice to get a full tour of the area. Dan was a pleasure and you could tell he knew his way around. Another really important note, Dan was a very safe captain. Overall a perfect day trip!! We left at 11AM and the weather was also perfect during that time. Don’t hesitate to commit. Book your trip with Dan as soon as you can because his tours fill up and you won’t want to miss out! This was so much fun!!

We had a great time. The boat was perfect for our trip. It was clean and had everything you need for a 3 hour tour. Captain Barney showed us all of the interesting sites and told us a lot about the history of the area. We would definitely book again when we are back in the area and will recommend Captain Barney to our friends.
