What To Know About Renting a Boat in Puerto Vallarta

There is nothing quite like exploring the beautiful Puerto Vallarta coast by watercraft, and there are many local charter options that you can explore during your stay. Motor yachts and sailboats are equally popular in this region, and can help you to see a great deal of the coastline while still allowing for plenty of time for relaxing in the sun. You can also keep it simple by checking out a sea kayak, jet ski, or paddleboard, or tune into your adventurous side by snorkeling, diving, or trying out a water jet pack.

Sport fishing is one of the biggest draws of Puerto Vallarta. In addition to the joys of spending a day out on the water, there are a wide variety of specimens that you can catch just a short ways away from shore. Charter a sport fishing excursion for the chance to land trophy-size tuna, mahimahi, sailfish, or marlin.

About Puerto Vallarta

It can be quite humid year-round, and very hot during the summer, so plan your trip during the autumn to spring months to avoid the hectic tourist season and to enjoy the milder temperatures.

Captain Ivan and his two man crew were amazing! They were very attentive. We saw whales, mantas, turtles, fished and snorkeled. The best was the food. Excellent ceviche and guacamole. They even prepped a charcuterie tray from items we bought. This trip was a great success due to the crew.

The crew were very hospitable. The boat is beautiful and easily held our group of 15. Snacks and beers were available as well as Bluetooth for music. We found a private beach and anchored as well cruised the coast.
