Kiteboarding is an exciting and fast-growing sport that is safe to practice, with proper instruction, and Oahu, Hawaii is the perfect place to learn. Our lessons include use of all of the equipment needed: kite, board, helmet, vest, harness, and leash. Lessons are available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders. Who can learn to kite? Kiteboarding is a great lifetime sport for those of all ages. We have worked with students as young as 9, and as old as 70. At a minimum, all students must be of good health, able to swim, and of a minimum physical size. We follow the International Kiteboarding Organization, or IKO, instructional standards, which have been developed through years of experience teaching and studying the sport. The IKO learning program is ideal for students’ quick skills progression, with a continual emphasis on safety. Upon completion of your lesson, you can receive an IKO Kiteboarder Card, certifying the progress you have made. Your Kiteboarder Card is recognized with instructors and schools around the world, serving to validate your ability level and ensure consistent instruction wherever you go. • When: Daily • Duration: Typically 3 hours per lesson, although lesson packs can be purchased for 6, 9, or 12 hours • Start Times: 8:00am, 11:00am and 2:00pm • Meeting Place: We’ll meet you on-site at the spot of your lesson. Frequently Asked Questions What are your hours? We operate 7 days per week, from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Where is your shop located? We are a mobile business, so we have no store front. For your lesson, we will meet you at our set beach location, ready to hit the ocean! Will I be provided with all of the equipment I need for my lesson? Absolutely. We will have all of the equipment and safety gear ready for you at the time of your lesson. What should I bring with me? We recommend that clients bring swimwear (board shorts/rashguard suggested), sunblock, sunglasses, water, and anything else that will make you comfortable for an active day at the beach. Who will my instructor be? You will work with either our owner, or another member of our team, all of whom are experienced and capable watermen and women. Are you child-friendly? Yes, we love working with kids. Please contact us with any questions about minimum age restrictions, as they vary from sport to sport. Do I need to know how to swim to take lessons or rent equipment? Yes, for your safety, we require that all clients know how to swim, regardless of the water activity you choose. Do I need to prepay for my activity? Yes, all activities must be prepaid, as we cannot accept payment on the beach.
