MIKMAWI CHARTERS, Cruising Catamaran rental in Seattle, Wa.
Up for captained charter is my 2006 Owners version Lagoon 440. It has 2 staterooms available for guests, each with their own private head. A full galley with triple sinks, gas cook top and oven, 2 new fridges, a small electric Ice chest, 30" TV with blue ray disk player, 1300+ watts of solar, 4 new 260 AH gel cell batteries, 2 inverters (both pure sine wave), 3 new stereos, new VHF radio and chart plotter, new BBQ, and a new 10 ft dinghy, ready to Zip you into those tight spots and beaches, tops off the list. Each couple would have there own stateroom and private head. This boat is in excellent condition. It's $1600 per weekend trip (longer trips available for discussion, multi day trips to the San Juan's and such), it's currently moored in Port Orchard, Washington on the dock by the fuel station. More information and more pictures coming soon. There is a security allowance for any damage or other incidentals that can be added to the bill afterwards, like a motel. Would probably only come into play for a longer trip, for fuel, or for any damage done. (it's maximum amount is $800) Will book up fast once it gets out. Only Lagoon 440 available in the Pacific Northwest!

We had a wonderful time. Great boat. Great host. Peace & freedom on the water B-)
I am the Captains wife, so all I can say is biased good stuff, but we did have a good time by all. We went to Blake Island and had a good time on the beach. At night we stayed in Blakely Harbor so that we could see all of the Seattle skyline at night. Truly beautiful.
Our sailing experience was perfect, this was our first time chartering a catamaran, and I can say I'm impressed with every aspect of both the boat and the professionalism of Captain Matt. I never realized how much room there is on a big catamaran, we never felt cramped or crowded, and how stable it would be. We had great weather, but even with the wakes of the cargo ships we barely felt anything. At night in the harbors the ever so slight rocking of the boat puts you to sleep with ease. A note of caution though, if you spend anytime lounging up on the bow nets, make sure you put on sunscreen, as you'll be asleep before you know it. We left for our trip from Port Orchard, and stayed the first night in Mats Mats Bay, which was previously unknown to my wife and I. What a beautiful spot. After breakfast the next morning we headed up to Port Townsend, and spent the better part of a day enjoying the sites and shopping. Then we sailed south to Elliott Bay, knocked out some paddle boarding and sailed over to the Seattle harbor to watch the sun go down and the city lights come on. What an awesome experience. The next morning we tendered into Blake Island for a relaxing hike around the nature preserve, then back to Port Orchard where Captain Matt had to pry us off his boat. (Not literally, we just didn't want our long weekend to end.) I can't say enough about how much fun we had, and how nice this charter was. I would recommend it to anyone. Captain Matt told us that he has sailed this boat half way around the world, and after watching how he handles it I have no doubt he could sail around the other half without a problem. After this charter my wife and I are torn between purchasing our own boat, vs chartering the Mikmawi again when we get the sailing bug.

Additional Terms & Information
This is a no shoe boat. (either bare foot or approved boat shoes only) The boat will be available for charter, May 15th to Sept. 1st each year. I would be interested in parties of 2 couples maximum. My wife and I will captain the vessel and provide some help for the guests. There is a BBQ on board for grilling, also a normal stove/gas range for cooking breakfast in the morning. In the galley is a new Nespresso Essenza Mini coffee maker, so if you have any favorite flavors, be sure to bring them along. Guests will have their own fridge (no freezer) for any food or beverages they wish to bring. We could also drop guests off for dinner ashore if they prefer. There is an ice maker on board, for cold beverages or to keep extra food cool. There will be 2 paddle boards on deck for those interested in that as well. A normal trip out would consist of being picked up in the Seattle or nearby area, taken for a sail/cruise to a variety of possible locations where we could anchor for the night. (probably go crabbing, both nights, if in season) Then the following morning, we could continue our journey to another anchorage for Saturday night. Followed by a sail/cruise back to the marina. Normal charters will take place Friday early afternoons thru Sunday late afternoons. Longer trips are available with approval of the captain.
