Stepping on board one of these multi million dollar racing machines was previously reserved for multi billionaires and the yachting elite, but now you can jump aboard and learn what it takes to make them slice through the crystal blue water off Paradise Island. At 76’ long, with masts 115’ high, these yachts are massive and incredibly stable, making them an ideal platform on which to experience sailing for the first time. Seasoned sailors will be in awe of how the 3,000 square feet of sail area dwarfs the old 12 meter generation America’s Cup yachts. Now you can join the yachting elite! What To Expect Onboard: This yacht is all carbon fiber and titanium and have been retrofitted to continue racing here in beautiful Nassau Bahamas. Hulls and sails can be branded for corporate events or special occasions. Races are two hour events and includes all crew. We are the only operator of IACC yachts anywhere in the Caribbean or along the East Coast of the United States. The International America's Cup Class yachts replaced the 12 metre design, which last raced in 1987. They are much larger, more powerful, complex and costly than their predessors, as they push the boundaries of high-tech composite engineering. The class has been used in the last five America's Cup competitions, the last of which was held in Valencia in 2007. Additional Terms & Information

FAQs What should I wear? We recommend you wear soft soled sport shoes and comfortable clothing. Sunscreen, sunglasses and hats are also recommended and can be purchased at our kiosk prior to sailing if necessary. How active do I have to be? The level of participation is entirely up to you, and you can easily relax and watch the action unfold in front of you. Are there any age or mobility restrictions? We welcome guests of all ages from 7 years of age and up. A certain amount of mobility is required to be able to move comfortably between the tenders and the yachts. The general guideline is that if you can climb a flight of stairs unaided then you can take part in the excursion. We make an effort not to exclude anyone from participating so if you have specific requirements feel free to contact us and discuss them. Will I get wet? There is a chance that you will get splashed; this is largely dependent on the weather conditions. However, there is no need to bring towels and we ask group organisers to please refrain from sending groups with towels. Can we eat onboard? If guests are participating in the America’s Cup Racing Experience then we ask group organisers to please refrain from bringing lunch boxes onboard without discussing it with us in advance as guests will not have the opportunity to eat during the excursion. Feel free to contact us and we can work with you to ensure that your groups have the opportunity to re fuel either before or after their excursion. What safety issue do I need to be aware of? Auto inflating life jackets are available for those who wish to wear them. The crew will give you a detailed briefing on important safety information while onboard. Please pay close attention as our yachts are complex and highly loaded racing machines. If members of your group do not speak English as a first language please let us know prior to the trip. Is there a toilet onboard? Please use the restroom in the ferry terminal prior to the start of your race. There is a basic toilet onboard but it will be more comfortable to use a land based toilet. Are drinks included? Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided to you during the sail. Arrangements can be made to serve beer onboard after the actual race. For The Sundowner Cruise beer, wine and champagne are included. Should you have specific requirements we will be more than happy to accommodate you. Can I bring a camera? If you are interested in taking pictures during your race, we recommend that you bring a waterproof camera. Personal digital cameras are allowed onboard but be aware that it is possible for them to get wet. We can provide a professional photographer and/or videographer for your group. Will I get seasick? Our yachts are very large and stable, and incidences of seasickness are rare, however, if you are prone to seasickness, please be sure to take the necessary precautions in advance. Can I purchase souvenirs? If you would like to buy something as a keepsake, Sail Nassau merchandise will be available for purchase after your sailing.
