Boat and Breakfast Ever dream of spending your vacation on a boat but long for a more intimate setting than a cruise ship? Booking a stay at a bed and breakfast that’s housed on a boat is the solution to finding that perfect state of peaceful tranquility along the water! Wake up to the picturesque sunrise over the glistening harbor and the call of the seabirds overhead, and after spending the day exploring the city, climb into bed and let the gentle motion of the boat lull you to sleep. Begin your day with a tour of the harbor in the dinghy and then return to the ship for a hearty breakfast. Along with all the coffee and tea you can drink, you’ll enjoy warm croissants straight from the oven, fresh fruit, and a tall stack of the signature Pirate pancakes drizzled with a butter and topp with sliced bananas and chopped walnuts. When you’ve had your fill, spend the rest of your day lounging or fishing on the beach or engaging in water sports before winding down back on the boat with wine and cheese. Training On Your Boat or Ours Our Captain will help boaters who are new to boating, moving up in vessel size, or who just want to improve existing skills. We can provide customized instruction based on your experience and skills, and we can do it on your boat or ours, power or sail. Among the most popular topics: • Basic boat handling, line handling, and docking • Sailing Instruction (all levels) • Refresher training for cruisers - Anchoring in currents - Managing battery power and fuel - ICW training (welcome to Active Captain!) • Navigation Fundamentals • Racing sailboats (rules, tactics, advanced sail trim, crew management) Our Instructors Our instructors hold a USCG Master's License for up to 100 Tons, and both are ASA certified sailing instructors. What To Expect Onboard: The Beneteau Oceanis 440 is designed to be handled with ease, and she excels. With self-furling sails, hydraulic power winch and self-tailing winches she can be easily sailed with two people. With a Bruce Farr designed hull she is also a powerful sailing yacht. Her greatest asset is the huge cockpit, perfect for entertaining and al fresco dining. Yacht Charter Accommodation "Das Boot" can comfortably sleep up to four people in three private double cabins. Forward, stretching from beam to beam is the master stateroom with a queen sized berth and private en-suite head with a hot and cold shower. Located aft, are two double cabins and one more head with shower. One extra single berth is available on the salon settee, however, we recommend a maximum of 6 people for a comfortable yacht charter. Charter Amenities and Extras The Oceanis 440 has efficient roller reefing, one wheel steering, self-tailing winches and an electric anchor winch. Marine electronics include a radar and a chart plotter. There is a Bimini and dodger, an on-deck BBQ, dinghy, swimming platform with ladder and shower, AM/FM radio & CD player, fully equipped galley with LPG stove & oven, fridge/freezer, pre-charter cruising guides, full boat and chart briefing.
