Our charter guests will catch a front-row, the glimpse of these magnificent creatures. The best part of all, it’s your private yacht for the day – no sharing with other people! Our destination is Stellwagen Marine Sanctuary. which is a feeding ground for whales and dolphins. It’s home to several kinds of large whales, including humpbacks, finbacks, pilot whales and more! What You Can Expect for a Standard 3-hour Charter: We board and depart and head by the USS Constitution, the oldest commissioned war ship in the world. The Captain will review the historical facts surrounding this ship and the Granite Dry Dock right beside it, which is the first dry dock ever built in this country. We then pass by the Bunker Hill Monument, the Zakim Bridge, the Old North Church, and the Boston Garden, all with their own history and stories, just to name a few. We will then cruise the waterfront to view Battery, Commercial, Long, and Rowes Wharfs, the New England Aquarium, the Boston Harbor Hotel, the Federal Court House and the World Trade Center. We will cruise past Black Falcon Terminal and view any cruise ships should they be in port. From there we will head out past Castle Island and Ft Independence towards Spectacle Island and Long Island (the inspiration for the movie Shutter Island). We then move on past Georges Island and Ft Warren to discuss their roles in the Civil War . After the meal, and depending on time, we try to make our way to Boston Light, the oldest lighthouse in the country. More history is reviewed that dates back to before the Revolutionary War. From there we will pass through The Narrows on our way to and past Deer Island with its own stories of America's Native Americans up to the present day Water Treatment Plant which has transformed Boston Harbor into one of the cleanest harbors in the country in less than 20 years. We will continue on our way past Logan Airport down the north side of the Harbor with outstanding photo opportunities of the Boston Sky line and the airplanes taking off and landing. What To Expect Onboard: Our 55 feet Ocean "Night Rider" power mega yacht has a comfortable cruising speed of 18 to 22 knots. Night Rider’s main salon is beautifully appointed and spacious. It is also roomy enough for everyone to gather inside should the New England weather be less than ideal. This vessel is outfitted with excellent amenities including a Sony surround sound system that is iPod/iPhone ready, a large, flat screen television equipped with Trac Vision so that you can watch your favorite sporting events while underway. With a huge teak deck aft, there is plenty of room to sit and enjoy the sights of historic Boston Harbor.
