Hal is licensed Master Captain and Engineer by the State of New York. He grew up boating on Lake George in Bolton Landing. Hal spent every summer on the water with his parents and grandparents. He first got his boaters safety course at 10 years old and has been an avid boater ever since. He grew up on large boats such as the Dutch Apple in Albany, originally built and owned by his uncle. Eventually Hal Captained the large cruise boats on Lake George such as the Horicon and Adirondac and still does to this day. His goal was to bring back the golden years of steam boating to Saratoga Lake. Today he operates a 50' fantail launch named the "General Schuyler" on Saratoga Lake. It is available for private charter as well as ticketed public cruises.
