Enjoy 27' Head Boat "Destiny" in Cape Town, South Africa

Enjoy Fishing in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa by boat! Charter a 27' "Destiny" for up to 8 people. Rates as low as $141 USD a day. We offer exciting off-shore fishing activities suitable for everyone. We operate from Simon's Town, Cape Town, South Africa, and offer quality tuna fishing, game fishing, crayfishing, eco-scenic and pelagic birdwatching tours in False Bay to Cape Point and off-shore waters beyond. Fighting the rod for tuna is great fun for everyone from beginners to seasoned fishermen. The main fish is yellowfin tuna, longfin tuna, snoek and yellowtail, however we catch lots of different fish throughout the year. We offer action packed deep sea fishing charters off Cape Point (the most South Western tip of Africa). We are perfectly situated in the calmer waters of False Bay, and a mere half hour ride (11 nautical miles) away from Cape Point, where most of our game fish are caught. The business is a family run operation and our owner/skipper Alan Blacklaws, has more than 20 years fishing experience in the oceans around the Cape Peninsula. We cater for all levels of fishing enthusiasts, from beginners to the experienced fishermen (and woman) who target the large yellowfin tuna, up to 110kgs in size! We welcome younger participants, and our patient crew are happy to teach them how to land their first game fish! We run two types of fishing charters, namely “inshore fishing” and “offshore fishing” –Inshore fishing refers to catching game fish such as yellowtail, snoek and katonkeloff Cape Point. We catch these fish throughout the year, with the best fishing taking place during the summer months of November to April. During our offshore fishing charters, we specifically target the large yellowfin and longfin tuna – these fish range in size from 15kgs to 110kgs and are caught further off the coast in the tuna grounds (15 to 30 miles off Cape Point). Other larger game fish caught out here include the occasional marlin, dorado, big-eye tuna as well as the Southern Atlantic bluefin tuna. During our expeditions, large pods of dolphins and whales are often sighted! Cape Fur Seals are guaranteed to be seen! Inside the shelter of False Bay, we catch snoek, mackerel and reef fish – these species appeal to the less experienced fishermen and our young guests! With your safety first and foremost, all our charters are run in a responsible, professional way. Our skipper Alan is also a registered tourist-guide, and is qualified in first aid. We strongly encourage the practice of “catch and release” and we do our part to ensure that there are still fish around for our children to catch! We offer exciting off-shore fishing activities suitable for everyone. From fighting the rod for Tuna to Pelagic birdwatching tours, come aboard "Destiny" for a charter that suits your needs! Our boat: Our modern ski-boat “Destiny”, is a 8m Leecat, fitted out with the latest state of the art electronics making it as safe and comfortable as possible. Destiny also has a private toilet. Registered to take a total of 8 people, we normally fish with 4 to 6 people so as to give everyone the best chance of catching fish. Destiny undergoes regular safety inspections with SAMSA (South Africa Maritime Safety Authority). With an emphasis on the environment, Destiny is fitted with new age four stroke engines which meet the international low emissions standards.
